On Saturday, November 20th, Legacy Soccer Club families were gathered together for an amazing cause hosted by Personal Best Karate at Foxboro Regional Charter. The event is one of the largest volunteer events in the area and has been a huge success over the years.
The main goal and purpose of this event was to bring Thanksgiving holiday meals to the local community for families that may not be able to provide them on their own. This year's event goal was to package and deliver 2000 Thanksgiving meals which was met with the help of the many volunteers that took time out of their day to help dish, pack and wrap all the food into packages for delivery.
Legacy's Coach Ryan, has been attending this event for the past four years and has been moved by the work being done to provide a meal on Thanksgiving to those that may not be able to on their own. Coach Ryan decided to reach out to our amazing Legacy families and put the idea out there and encourage more people to volunteer and get involved in a cause that will leave those involved with a great sense of pride and accomplishment.
The group of Legacy families met just after noon at the Foxboro Charter School and got involved right away helping out and having a great time for a great cause that would benefit others this Thanksgiving!
We are very proud of our families and Coach Ryan for taking part in this event and showing the Legacy way in helping those less fortunate than ourselves. A big thank you to Personal Best Karate and all the organizers of this event for the work they do in providing the Thanksgiving spirit that everyone should be able to experience.
